7.2 Incremental Commitment

At every stage of the sale, try to get small elements of commitment from the prospect.

For example:

"Yes, you can come and see me." "Yes, we can take a look at the site." "Yes, I would like to (minimise costs / increase profits etc.)" "Yes, please quote." "Yes, I agree, our total costs will be lower." "Yes, your delivery is OK." "Yes, here's the Order..."

The big advantage of getting "incremental commitment" is that, if you do reach a stage when you get a "no" answer, you don't have to go right back to the beginning.
